Trevalo — Independent Nerve Nutrition Research

About Trevalo

Established 2025 · Last updated April 2026

What We Do

Trevalo is an independent editorial website focused on nerve nutrition research, supplement science, and healthy aging for adults 50 and older. We examine the published research behind peripheral nerve nutrition — what the science actually demonstrates, where the evidence is strong, and where it remains limited — and write analysis that helps readers make more informed decisions about their health.

About the Author

Trevalo is written and edited by Carol Hensley. Carol spent over a decade in health sciences writing and clinical nutrition communications — work spanning hospital patient education, pharmaceutical literature review, and independent health journalism — before launching Trevalo in 2025.

She started Trevalo because she found that most nerve supplement content fell into one of two unsatisfying categories: either uncritical promotional copy dressed as editorial, or blanket skepticism of the entire supplement category that ignored the genuine research on benfotiamine, R-ALA, methylcobalamin, and related ingredients. She wanted to build something grounded in evidence, honest about its limits, and practically useful.

Carol is based in Denver, Denver County, Colorado. She can be reached at [email protected].

Our Editorial Standards

Every article on Trevalo is written or reviewed by Carol Hensley. We engage substantively with peer-reviewed research before drawing any conclusions about supplement ingredients. We acknowledge uncertainty where it exists, note when evidence is limited or industry-funded, and do not make claims the science does not support. If you believe something on our site is factually incorrect, contact us and we will review and correct any errors.
